First class social design.

Challenge

Studio Sociaal Centraal is a unique and human-centered social design studio from the Netherlands. They service a wide range of organisations across the country. After three successful years of building a portfolio and growing the industry as a whole, they needed a brand that would represent their progression and position them as a trusted partner for future clients.

Solution

We hosted a series of workshops in close collaboration with Manon and Joes where we defined the strategic direction for the business. This helped us to define a clear proposition and supporting values to clarify Sociaal Centraal's role within the industry - as well as its positioning within the growing field of social design.

Studio Sociaal Centraal believes that complex social issues are an invitation to initiate positive change. By applying a tailored process of design thinking, they are able to develop new perspectives for non-profit organisations and (semi-)government.

Process

We set about bringing the mission to life with a concept that activates and inspires a new way forward from a social starting point. At the core of the brand identity is a powerful new name combined with a design system that refers to wayfinding systems. Wayfinding systems guide people through a physical environment and enhance their understanding and experience of the space. Wayfinding is particularly important in complex built environments such as hospitals, airports, educational campuses and train stations. With this concept we unlock the promise of creating first class social design.

Results

Being able to clearly state who they are and why they do the things they do had an immediate effect. Manon and Joes soon noticed an increase in sales. Together we will continue to achieve positive change.
