The Dutch energy market is complicated by design. Prices swing, terms hide in fine print, and straight talk is hard to come by. Energiek believes there's a better way. Starting with transparency and fair pricing. Building real market share in a space this crowded takes guts. We built their brand from scratch: strategy, name, identity, digital experience, campaigns, you name it.

Challenge
When Energiek first walked through our door, they had nothing tangible. No name. No proposition. Just a belief: give people what the market has failed to deliver for years. A fair price, honest communication and service that actually serves. The questions weren't hard to spot. How do you earn trust in an industry that's burned through most of it? And how do you grow fast when your budget says otherwise?

Approach

We kicked off with a deep behavioural design process. Market research, one-on-one interviews and early panel tests. All of it sharpened the proposition and gave us solid ground to build on. The name Energiek (Dutch for 'energetic') landed the tone right away: warm, optimistic, easy to say yes to.

What set this project apart was the founders themselves. They showed up ready to listen and more importantly, ready to act on what we found. That sounds straightforward. It isn't. Rethinking your business model mid-flight takes nerve. Together, we figured out how to make 'honest' more than a tagline. Customer-first as an operating principle, not a poster on the wall. The result: one price for everyone, no welcome gifts you quietly pay for later and profits shared back with customers.

The visual identity is distinctive and built to hold its own in a sea of sameness. The website and app follow one rule: radical transparency. Customers see exactly what they're paying for. No surprises.

Outcome
After a year of developing, testing and refining, Energiek successfully launched in late 2024. With ongoing campaigns, we continue to build visibility and trust. In a market full of price rhetoric, Energiek chooses clarity and that's exactly where the difference is made.
